Configuring and Managing Host-Based X.25 Links
Performing a Dynamic Reconfiguration
When you use the DTCCNTRL command to perform a dynamic
reconfiguration, you specify the RC function. You also specify a RECONF
option of ALL, X25, CARD, PASS, or LOGCL. If you do not specify a RECONF
option, the default of ALL is assumed.
The process of dynamic reconfiguration involves two steps:
1. Run NMMGR to modify configuration values. (See Table 7-1 for
a list of the configuration parametersthat can be modified through
dynamic reconfiguration.)
2. Enter the DTCCNTRL command using the RC function.
a. Use the RECONF=X25 option to download only X.25 values that
affect the operation of a specific DTC/X.25 Network Access
Card.
b. Use the RECONF=CARD option to download X.25 and PAD values
that affect the operation of a specific DTC/X.25 Network
Access Card.
c. Use the RECONF=ALL option to download both values that
affect the operation of specific cards and values that
affect the global operation of a DTC.
d. Use the RECONF=PASS option to download a new PAD access
password to a DTC. (Make sure that you also modify the
password for any other DTCs with DTC/X.25 Network access
cards configured to allow PAD support.)
e. Use the RECONF=LOGCL option to download a modified logging
class configuration.
