Directives Script directives influence the execution script items. Directives are normally only recognized in the script environment, that is when a script is executing. However, the system can be made to recognize directives in an interactive mode through the use of a special script using the <ACTIVEFN> function that is described in the section "Active Functions" in Chapter 9 . The directives are presented in alphabetical order with references to any associated directives and/or active functions. Many directives may require parameters or allow optional parameter. The syntax used to describe these is described on the previous page.
