Access to Batch File Data Once the message has been transferred to the In Tray, you can process the data in the batch files. This could be done by copying out each batch file item to MPE and processing it, but it is also possible to do this from within HP Desk. Although HP Desk does not have any built-in data-processing capabilities, an application program can be written which integrates with HP Desk to process the data. This program can be linked into HP Desk using the Application Data Passing mechanism. Programmers should make use of application Interrupt Modes 7 and 8. See the Chapter 11 for a more detailed explanation of this feature.
