EFT Message Structure.
EFT messages coming into and going out of HP Desk are treated in the same
way as FSC messages. The only difference being that EFT messages are in
HP Desk format and FSC messages are converted to ARPA format.
Messages leaving HP Desk through an EFT gateway are exported from the
database on the gateway computer and then gathered into an MPE file.
This file is built in the default group and account HPMAIL.HPOFFICE.
However, other groups may be specified as the default when the gateway is
configured. The name of the file is based on the time of the creation of
the file in the format Ejjhhmmt, where:
jj is the Julian date of the year mod 100
hh is the hour number (in 24 hour format)
mm is the minute number
t is the number of the Master Truck that took the message (0 to 9,
A to Z)
These files are referred to as E files.
Therefore, an E file created on the 256th day of the year, at 08:54 by
Master Truck0 would be named E5608540.
