34 Purge a Sublocation 

Use 

Purges an existing sublocation, complete with any associated users and
routes.  If native (non-USASCII) names are configured for any of the
purged users, these will be deleted from the Native Database.


NOTE User Interface Sessions must be disabled for the transaction to successfully processed.

CAUTION Use this operation with care. Accidental use can disrupt your configuration.
Format 34LocationSublocation where 34 is the operation code. Location is the location code from which the sublocation is to be purged. Field length of 6-alphanumeric characters. Sublocation is the sublocation code to be purged. Any routes or users associated with the sublocation will also be deleted. Field length of 2-alphanumeric characters. Examples 34MANF2 AC 34SALE2 01 35 Rename a Sublocation Use Renames a sublocation, optionally associating it with another location. If the sublocation is local it can be associated with another local location. If it is remote, it is associated with another remote location. If the sublocation is local, user interface sessions must be closed down completely for this transaction to work. Any parameters, such as routes and users (and optionally resources), associated with the sublocation are retained. Native names (non-USASCII) are kept if they have been configured for any users. Format 35OldlocationOldsubNewlocationNewsub where 35 is the operation code. Oldlocation is the location code with which the sublocation is currently associated. Field length of 6-alphanumeric characters. Oldsub is the sublocation code to be renamed. Field length of 2-alphanumeric characters. Newlocation is the location code with which the renamed sublocation is to be associated. If this is to be different from the Oldlocation, it must already exist. Field length of 6-alphanumeric characters. Newsub is the sublocation code for the renamed sublocation. Field length of 2-alphanumeric characters. Examples 35MANF2 PHMANF2 AC 35SALE2 ADMKTG AD
NOTE A location can also be rename using the operation, however, HP Desk must be closed down, the new location name must exist and the new sublocation should not exist. Users must be on the same physical computer.
41 Add a User Use Adds a new user to an existing mailnode. Optionally an explicit foreign address can be defined for the user. Format 41Username&Profilename ForeignAddress& Information where 41 is the operation code. Username is the name of the user to be added, which will then be followed by an existing location code and an existing sublocation code, all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-characters, including blanks. Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. Profilename is the name of the a configuration profile to be applied to this user. This name is optional. Field length of 16-characters. Starts in column 65. Foreignaddress is the explicit foreign address to be associated with the Username. The address is optional. It may be up to 8 lines of 64 characters each. The first line must start with an open bracket and the last must end with a closed bracket. & is a continuation code. _________________________________________________________ NOTE If a profile name is used, the continuation character precedes it. _________________________________________________________ Information is a description of the user in three continuous fields of: 20-characters 8-characters 8-characters representing fields from the User Information Screen.
NOTE If a template name is specified but does not exist then the transaction will be rejected with an error message. If no template name is specified then an attempt will be made to read the template called DEFAULT in the template file.

Username is the name of an existing user to be modified, followed by an existing location code and an existing sublocation code, all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-characters, including blanks. Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. Profilename is the name of the a configuration profile to be applied to this user. Up to 16-characters. This is optional. & is a continuation code Foreignaddress is the explicit foreign address to be associated with the Username. The address is optional. It may be up to 8 lines of 64 characters each. The first line must start with an open bracket and the last must end with a closed bracket. Information is a description of the user to be modified. Touching fields of 20, 8, and 8 characters of any kind. This is optional. This transaction is accepted by the *ADMIN updates server on a remote machine only if the local user password permission is given to the updates. If no password is provided in this transaction then the user's password is removed. Format 4401UsernameNodePassword where 4401 is the operation code. Username is the name of an existing local user or resource. Field length of 36-alphanumeric characters, including blanks. Node is the user's mailnode. Field length of 8-characters. The "/" separating character must not be used in this field. Password is the new user password. Field length of 8-characters, including blanks. Username is the name of an existing local user or resource. Field length of 36-alphanumeric characters, including blanks. Node is the user's mailnode. Field length of 8-characters. The "/" separating character must not be used in this field. Localname is the new user local name. Format 4403UsernameNodeFClimitWAlimit where 4403 is the operation code. Username is the name of an existing local user or resource. Field length of 36-alphanumeric characters, including blanks. Node is the user's mailnode. Field length of 8-characters. The "/" separating character must not be used in this field. FClimit is the field containing the new user Filing Cabinet and Work Area usage limits, in sectors. Field length of 9-characters. Field values are numeric. If the field is left blank then the Filing Cabinet limit is set to "unlimited". This is an optional field. WAlimit is the field containing the new user's Work Area usage limits, in sectors. Field length of 9-characters. Field values are numeric. If the field is left blank then the Work Area limit is set to "unlimited". This is an optional field. Format 4404UsernameNodeFkeysProfile where 4404 is the operation code. Username is the name of an existing local user or resource Field length of 36-alphanumeric characters, including blanks. Node is the user's mailnode Field length of 8-characters. The "/" separating character must not be used in this field. Fkeys is the name of the file in MAILCONF.HPOFFICE from which to extract the users' function keys. Optional. If the field is blank then the default function key file SOFTKEYS is set Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters (starting with an alpha). Profile is the name of the file in MAILCONF.HPOFFICE from which to extract the user's initial profile settings. Optional. If the field is blank then the default profile file USERCONF is set. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters (starting with an alpha). Node is the user's mailnode. Field length of 8-characters. The "/" separating character must not be used in this field. Accesscaps is the field that contains the new user access capabilities. If no values are supplied in these fields then no changes are made to a users' capabilities. Ten ASCII entries to either allow or deny a new user certain capabilities, the definitions are the same as those that appear in the Configurator in User Definition Screen 2. The values of the entries may be: 0 Capability denied (No). 1 Capability allowed (Yes) Blank No changes made Example 4405PAT APPLEBAUM MFG 021111000000 4406-Modify Local User/Resource Special Capabilities (1 to 32) Use Modifies special capabilities of a local user or a local resource. Node is the user's mailnode. Field length of 8-characters. The "/" separating character must not be used in this field. Specialcaps1-32 are the new user capability settings. These consist of 32 one character ASCII fields with the following values: 0 No 1 Yes Blank No changes made The 32 one character fields are grouped below: The first 16 one character fields refer to the special capabilities given to users.The next 16 one character fields refer to the first 16 of the User Definable Capability Groups. Format 4407UsernameNodeSpecialcaps33-64 where 4407 is the operation code. Username is the name of an existing local user or resource. Field length of 36-alphanumeric characters, including blanks. Node is the user's mailnode. Field length of 8-characters. The "/" separating character must not be used in this field. Specialcaps33-64 are the user capability settings for the remaining user definable capabilities (32 to 64). These consist of 32 one character ASCII fields where the values are: 0 No 1 Yes Blank No changes made Example 4407RICKIE NEWMAN MKTG 0111100011000000110000110000000000011 45 Rename a User Use Renames an existing user. Optionally the user can be renamed onto a different mailnode, but both the old and new mailnodes should either both be local or both be remote. Any foreign address or user information is lost, and needs to be re-entered using the Modify User operation (43). Any native (non-USASCII) names possessed by this user are transferred to the new User/Mailnode. Format 45Oldusername& Newusername where 45 is the operation code. Oldusername is the name of an existing user to be renamed, followed by an existing location code and an existing sublocation code, all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-characters, including blanks. Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. & is a continuation code. Newusername is the new name for the user, followed by the user's new, existing location code and new, existing sublocation code, all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-characters, including blanks. Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. NOTE Ths transaction is only relevant to 16-bit versions of HP Desk.
Format 48Username& LanguageID& Nativeusername where 48 is the operation code. Username is the USASCII name of an existing user, followed by an existing location code and an existing sublocation code, all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-characters, including blanks. Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. & is a continuation code. LanguageID signifies the language or dialect in which the native user name is entered. 3-digit code. & is a continuation code. Nativeusername is the native name of this user in the language or dialect indicated by the Language ID. Field length of 36-characters, non-USASCII. 49 Rename a Native User Use Renames an existing native (non-USASCII) user name with the supplied native name. The Language ID must be specified. To delete a native user name use the Rename operation code, enter the language ID and leave the new native name blank.
NOTE This transaction is only relevant to the 16bit versions of HP Desk.
Format 49Username& LanguageID& Newnativename where 49 is the operation code. Username is the USASCII name of an existing user. The existing location code and the existing sublocation code follow the Username and are all separated by slashes (/). Field length of 36-characters, including blanks. Must include a last name, and can include a first and second name. & is a continuation code. LanguageID signifies the language or dialect in which the native user name is entered. 3-digit code. & is a continuation code. Newnativename is the native name that replaces the existing native name recorded for this user. Field length of 36-characters, non-USASCII. If blank, deletes the existing native user name for the stated language ID. If no previous native name exists for the stated language ID, the new native name is entered as such. 51 Add a Computer/Gateway Use Adds a computer or an EFT/FSC gateway to the database.
NOTE To distinguish which transport type is to be used, the relevant 53nn transaction should be used to identify the DS or NS node name and other details.
Format 51ComputerType where 51 is the operation code. Computer is the name of the computer or gateway to be added. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters, starting with a letter. The name will be upshifted and romanized. Type is a mandatory character indicating a computer or the type of gateway, as follows: 0 Specifies a computer connected via DS or NS. 1 Specifies an EFT gateway. 2 Specifies an FSC gateway using ARPA format. 3 Specifies an FSC gateway using ARPA Reference format. 4 Specifies an FSC gateway using ARPA (Compressed) format. Examples 51LVRPOOL 0 51HPIBMA 4 52 Delete a Computer/Gateway Use Deletes an existing computer or EFT/FSC gateway from the database. Any routes or foreign address aliases that were associated with the computer/gateway must have first be deleted. Also the computer cannot be a default routing computer. Format 52Computer where 52 is the operation code. Computer is the name of the computer or gateway to be deleted. Field length of 8-alphanumeric characters, starting with an alpha. Examples 52MADRID 52DISOSS 5301 - Modify Computer/Gateway Availability (00:00 - 11:59) Use Modifies the times which computer or gateway is available. Format 5301ComputernameAvailability where 5301 is the operation code. Computername where Computername is the name of an existing computer or EFT/FSC gateway (note: this transaction does not apply to Intrinsics gateways). This should start in column 5 and is limited to 8-characters. Field length of 8-characters. Availability is an array of 48, one character fields entries, where each value entered represents 15-minutes. The first field represents the time between 00:00 to 00:14, and the last field is 11:45-11:59. The values can be: 0 The computer/gateway is not available for this time period. 2 Only urgent mail can be sent during this time period. 3 Urgent and Normal mail can be sent. 4 All mail can be sent.
