Chapter 3  Accessing MPE/iX from an HP-UX Workstation 

This chapter describes the most common method of creating an MPE/iX
session in an X window that is displayed on an HP-UX workstation.

To access HP Motif/iX client applications, you must have a terminal
session on the HP 3000 host.  To create a terminal emulation window and
establish a session on an HP 3000, log on to the HP 9000 workstation and
do the following:

   1.  Run hpterm to create a terminal emulation window.

   2.  Use vt3k within that window to connect to an HP 3000 system.

   3.  Log on within that window to the HP 3000 system.

Once logged on to an HP 3000, MPE/iX commands may be entered in the
display window.
