Up and Running with ALLBASE/SQL
Running ISQL
Before you can create a new DBEnvironment, you must run ISQL by simply
entering
isql Return
at your operating system prompt. ALLBASE/SQL then displays the ISQL
banner as in Figure 3-1 (some details may be slightly different on your
system):

You should make a note of two things before going any further:
* You must always use a semicolon and press Return to terminate a
command in ISQL.
* You leave ISQL by typing
isql=> exit; Return
If ISQL asks whether or not you want to commit work, you must
reply either Y or N and press Return. A Y makes the work you have
done permanent.
