Determining Your Mini-Dump Needs 

You can preallocate only one mini-dump file.  The size of the mini-dump
file must be estimated.  If the mini-dump file is too small, then not all
of the mini-dump information will be written to the file.  If the
mini-dump file is too large, then there will be a large amount of white
space in your file.  In most cases, a mini-dump size of 500 records is
reasonable and can be used if you have not changed any of the default
values for the mini-dump.


NOTE  The mini-dump feature does not need to be configured to
      successfully configure AutoRestart/iX.
