Chapter 2  Preparing Your System 

This chapter describes how to prepare your system for successful
configuration of AutoRestart/iX. System preparation for AutoRestart/iX
consists of the following steps:

   1.  Determine your dump-to-disk needs.

   2.  Determine your mini-dump needs.

   3.  Add one or more disk drives to your system's configuration.

   4.  Physically install the disk drives.

   5.  Create the AutoRestart/iX account structure.


NOTE  You can perform the procedures in this chapter before you install
      AutoRestart/iX.
