HP PC API User's Guide for ALLBASE/SQL and IMAGE/SQL

ALLBASE/SQL Statements Replaced by Functions on the PC Client 

Some of the functionality has been moved from the database server to the
PC client with PC API.

The following ALLBASE/SQL statements are not supported because they have
been replaced by other functions resident on the PC client: 

       CONNECT
       DISCONNECT
       RELEASE
       RESET
       SET CONNECT
       SET MULTITRANSACTION
       START DBE
       START DBE NEW
       START DBE NEWLOG
       STOP DBE

If you attempt to use any of these unsupported statements, you will
receive an error message.
