Configuring System Disks Using VOLUTIL

If you have additional disks on your system, use the VOLUTIL utility to
define and initialize them.

   1. Check the status of the disks.

                 :DSTAT ALL

   2. If your disks are not in a Master or Member status, use the
following VOLUTIL commands to change the status.

          :VOLUTIL

          VOLUTIL:SCRATCHVOL n
*Verify: Scratch volume on ldev n [Y/N]? Y

          VOLUTIL:NEWVOL MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET:MEMBERn n 100 100 DISC
*Verify: Initialize new member volume . . .Membern on ldev n? Y

          VOLUTIL:EXIT

The n in the above commands refers to the address of the disk you
are adding to your system. Repeat these commands to add
additional disks to your system. Replace n with the address of
       the additional disk(s).

   3. When you have configured all disks onto your system, enter the
DSTAT ALL command again to ensure the disks are mounted.

                 :DSTAT ALL
