Chapter 1 Overview This manual contains the procedures needed to complete the installation of the products listed in the file SPNAMES.PUB.SYS. Instructions in chapter 4, "Getting Your System Ready For Use" in Setting Up and Maintaining Your System: Installation Guide for the HP 3000 Series 9X7LX/9X8LX (B3813-90003) included steps to locate this file and print it to the screen. Products listed in that file need to have additional steps performed before the product is fully functional. Please do not attempt to install the product(s) listed in chapter 2, "Installing Non-Customer Installable Products." The steps in this chapter should be performed by your Hewlett-Packard Customer Engineer or system management personnel specially trained on the HP 3000 MPE/iX system. If you have any products listed in the file SPNAMES.PUB.SYS, use this manual to complete their installation. When you have completed the installation of your products, continue with chapter 5, "Securing Your System" in the Setting Up and Maintaining Your System Installation Guide for the HP 3000 Series 9X7LX/9X8LX (B3813-90003).
