RENUMBER
Renumbers all lines of text in your current edit file.
Syntax
RENU[MBER] [|BY| increment] [N[EWVERSION]]
Parameters
BY Increment Defines the increment by which you want to
renumber your file.
NEWVERSION Sets the version number of the file to 1 if
there were previously purged versions. (For
example, if at one time there were five
versions of a file and the first four versions
had been purged, specifying RENUMBER NEWVERSION
will mean that the one version of the file will
be numbered 1 instead of 5.
Description
You can only renumber files that contain one version. If a file contains
more than one version, it must be copied into a one version file before
it can be renumbered.
If a break or crash occurs during the renumbering of a file, TOOLSET/XL
must recover the file before it can be used again.
Example
>>RENUMBER BY .01
Renumbers your edit file by increments of .01.
