Moving Multiple Files
Use the BATCH softkey and a batch file (these are called job stream files
on the MPE XL system) to move multiple files from the HP 260 to the HP
3000. The files are still moved one at a time, but you will be able to
enter the commands all at once. You must create the job stream file in
advance.
You can use the HP 260 editor to create a batch file. A batch file can
include any MPE commands you want. The example shows a batch file
written with the editor:

NOTE Do not type a colon in front of MPE commands.
In addition to MPE commands, there are two special commands available for
moving files:
*
ARCHIVE_TRANSFER <HP 260 filename> TO <MPE filename>
*
DATA_FILE_TRANSFER <HP 260 filename> TO <MPE filename>
The above commands are equivalent to using the ARCHIVE TRANSFER and DATA
FILE TRANSFER softkeys respectively. Make sure all HP 260 files are in
the correct format before you execute the batch file.
Follow the directions below to move multiple files:
1. Type RUN "TRNSFR".
2. Enter the number of the port connected to the HP 3000.
3. Press the BATCH softkey.
4. Enter the name of the batch file. From this point, the TRNSFR
program begins to execute the commands in the batch file.
The example shows you how to move multiple files using the batch file
shown above.
