Chapter 8 Getting Started Introduction This section describes the changes required to migrate programs from BASIC/V to HP Business BASIC/XL. Differences between BASIC/V and HP Business BASIC/XL are explained in chapter 10, "Evaluating Changes You Need to Make". Chapter 10, "Evaluating Changes You Need to Make", describes features of HP Business BASIC/XL that are changed or missing to BASIC/V users. Detailed information about changing BASIC/V programs to make them compatible with HP Business BASIC/XL is also provided. There is a migration aid that helps make necessary changes. The migration aid is explained in chapter 11, "Migrating BASIC/V Files". Features that are new to BASIC/V users are described in chapter 14, "Optimizing Migrated BASIC/V Applications". This chapter provides an overview of the migration process.
