PURGELINK 

Removes a link.  (Native Mode)

Syntax 

PURGELINK [LINK=] linkname 

Parameters 

linkname         The name of a symbolic link file.  All rules regarding
                 file name specification apply to this parameter.

                 This is a required parameter.  You may not use wildcards
                 in linkname or specify a file equation in place of
                 linkname.

Operation Notes 

A symbolic link is a special file that can point to a file, group,
account, or directory.  Links are established through the NEWLINK
command, and they are removed through the PURGELINK command.

The PURGELINK command may be issued from a session, job, program, or in
BREAK. PURGELINK requires Traverse Directory (TD) and Delete Directory
entry (DD) permissions.

Example 

For the following examples assume that a user is currently logged on as
USER1 in the group SAFE.COMPANY.

     To remove the link /COMPANY/SAFE/PAYROLL, enter the following command:

     :PUREGLINK PAYROLL 

     To remove the link /dira/scripts, enter the following:

     :PURGELINK /dira/scripts
