Functional Focus: System management
This manual is written for MPE/iX system managers. It describes how to
install, update, add-on subsystem products, and/or apply PowerPatch
and/or Reactive patches to your HP 3000 MPE/iX system.
This manual contains directions for the following tasks:
* Install, update, add-on, and/or apply PowerPatch, using tape
source media and AUTOINST.
* Update, add-on, and/or apply PowerPatch, using CD-ROM source media
and HPINSTAL.
* Manage and apply Reactive patches and/or PowerPatch patches, with
or without Adding-on subsystem products, using HP Patch/iX.
* Stage and apply Reactive patches and/or PowerPatch patches, using
HP Patch/iX and HP Stage/iX.
NOTE You cannot order this manual apart from the software.
This manual is included with your software shipment when you:
* Purchase the system.
* Receive updates to the system software version.
* Receive PowerPatch or Express releases.
This manual is not shipped to you when you receive Reactive
patches.
