Configuring and Managing MPE/iX Internet Services
Implementation differences
The implementation of bootpd on the HP 3000 differs from bootpd on the HP
9000 in following ways:
* The BOOTP entry in the inetd configuration file must have an
MPE/iX compatible user name. Hewlett-Packard recommends that you
use MANAGER.SYS.
* You cannot run bootpd as a standalone server. It can only be run
by the Internet daemon.
