Configuring and Managing MPE/iX Internet Services
Chapter 4 The BOOTP Service
The Internet Boot Protocol daemon, or bootpd, is used to boot LAN devices
such as routers, printers, X-terminals, and diskless workstations. Nodes
on the network use bootpd to get configuration information such as an IP
address and a subnet mask and automatically boot the device. This
chapter describes:
* how to configure bootpd.
* how to start bootpd once it has been configured.
* the implementation differences between bootpd for MPE/iX and
bootpd for HP-UX.
