System Startup, Configuration, and Shutdown Reference Manual

Disabling the SPU Hex Status Display 

Entering DS disables the display of the system status line, including the
system front panel hex display codes on the console during console mode.
See the ES command for more details.

The system displays a message when the command is successful:

     System status display during console mode is disabled.
