Installation The native mode spooler is part of the fundamental operating system (FOS). It is installed on the MPE/iX operating system with the INSTALL or UPDATE utility. Device configuration Refer to the System Startup, Configuration, and Shutdown Reference Manual (32650-90042) for the actual steps on configuring a device. Use the node management manager configuration utility (NMMGR.PUB.SYS) to configure printing and plotting devices that are connected directly to the SPU using the RS-232 interface. Refer to the NS3000/XL Network Manager's Reference Manual (36920-90002) and the Configuring Systems for Terminals, Printers, and Other Serial Devices (32022-90001) for more details.
