Chapter 2  Managing Disk Drives 

A disk is a shareable device used as an input and output tool.  It offers
the fastest data access of all devices.  A disk drive is used to read and
write data to a disk.  The following illustration displays some disk
drives.

tasks:

   *   Operating a disk drive.

   *   Loading disk packs.

   *   Unloading disk packs.

   *   Unloading a nonsystem disk pack.
