The BUILD Command The BUILD command creates a file in much the same way as the HPFOPEN/FOPEN intrinsic, except that HPFOPEN/FOPEN is used within a program and BUILD is entered as an MPE/iX command. The parameters for BUILD have meanings and applications that are similar to the corresponding parameters for HPFOPEN/FOPEN.
