Chapter 2 OPERATING EDIT/3000 EDIT/3000 can be run during either a batch job or an interactive session. Initiation of batch jobs and interactive sessions is covered in this section to the extent necessary for you to operate EDIT/3000; however, more extensive descriptions of these procedures can be found in the MPE Commands Reference Manual. In addition to information regarding the initiation of jobs and sessions and the operation of EDIT/3000, MPE and EDIT/3000 special controls are described. These special controls allow you to correct typing errors when information is being entered from a terminal,or to temporarily suspend EDIT/3000 operation. EDIT/3000 commands are not covered in this section. See Sections Ill and IV for descriptions of these commands.
