Recovering Files with DISCUTIL

DISCUTIL is a disk configuration utility that is called from the initial
system load prompt (ISL>). Use it to configure disk devices and move
logically inoperable files from disk to tape.

The DISCUTIL SAVE command saves disk files to tape. The volutil:
RECOVER command is then used to recreate and read the files from tape
back to disk.

Note that entering the ISL facility requires a system restart. Send a
TELL or WARN message to your users that the system is going down.

   1. Reset the system with a soft reset. At the system console, enter:

            :CTRL B
