Using the FLUSHLOG Intrinsic 

To flush the buffer without writing information, use the FLUSHLOG
intrinsic.  Flushing the buffer adds additional overhead to the process,
but ensures that the write to disc is complete before control is returned
to the next executable instruction.  This may be desirable for critical
data or nonreproducible data.
