SYNCHRONIZED Clause 

SDCDE generates the SYNCHRONIZED clause if the synchronize attribute is
true.  If the element does not already occur on a word boundary, the
synchronize attribute causes SDCDE to generate a FILLER element of the
appropriate length.

Syntax 

     SYNC

Description 

You can use the SYNCHRONIZED clause withUSAGE IS COMPUTATIONAL elements;
otherwise SDCDE treats it as a comment.

When you use the SYNCHRONIZED clause with redefines, the redefined
element must occur on a word boundary.
