USAGE Clause 

SDCDE can generate the USAGE clause for all elementary elements.  The
default when not specified is DISPLAY, and SDCDE does not generate a
USAGE clause unless otherwise indicated by the element-type attribute
(see Appendix C).

Syntax 

     COMP
     COMP-3
     DISPLAY

Description 

If you specify COMP or COMP-3, then you cannot use the USAGE clause with
the SIGN clause.  SDCDE generates the USAGE clause at the elementary
level only.
