HP System Dictionary XL Intrinsics
SDAddDomainScope
Associates a scope to a domain, allowing the scope to access that domain.
Syntax
SDAddDomainScope (Dcb,Domain,Scope,Status)
Parameters
Dcb Required input; type = DcbType
This parameter passes information about the
dictionary to this intrinsic. It is initialized by
the SDOpen intrinsic.
Domain Required input; type = NameOrNumberType
This parameter specifies the domain to associate with
a scope.
Scope Required input; type = NameOrNumberType
This parameter specifies the scope to be allowed
access to the domain.
Status Output; type = StatusType
This parameter contains information indicating the
success or failure of the intrinsic call. This
information is detailed in Table 3-1, located in
Chapter 3 of this manual.
Discussion
The following restrictions apply when using this intrinsic:
1. Open mode--The dictionary must be opened in either Shared Update
mode or Exclusive Update mode.
2. Security--The current scope must be either the Dictionary
Administrator scope or the domain's owner scope.
3. A scope cannot be associated to a domain that it owns.
4. A scope cannot be associated to a domain whose sensitivity is
public.
5. A scope may be associated only once to a domain.
