HP System Dictionary XL Intrinsics

SDAddDomainScope

Associates a scope to a domain, allowing the scope to access that domain.

Syntax

     SDAddDomainScope (Dcb,Domain,Scope,Status)

Parameters

Dcb Required input; type = DcbType
This parameter passes information about the
dictionary to this intrinsic. It is initialized by
                    the SDOpen intrinsic.

Domain Required input; type = NameOrNumberType
This parameter specifies the domain to associate with
                    a scope.

Scope Required input; type = NameOrNumberType
This parameter specifies the scope to be allowed
                    access to the domain.

Status Output; type = StatusType
This parameter contains information indicating the
success or failure of the intrinsic call. This
information is detailed in Table 3-1, located in
                    Chapter 3 of this manual.

Discussion

The following restrictions apply when using this intrinsic:

   1. Open mode--The dictionary must be opened in either Shared Update
       mode or Exclusive Update mode.

   2. Security--The current scope must be either the Dictionary
Administrator scope or the domain's owner scope.

   3. A scope cannot be associated to a domain that it owns.

   4. A scope cannot be associated to a domain whose sensitivity is
       public.

   5. A scope may be associated only once to a domain.
