HP System Dictionary XL Intrinsics

Introduction 

Information is passed to and from each System Dictionary intrinsic via a
set of parameters.  Each of these parameters is defined by a specific
System Dictionary parameter type.  This chapter includes three parallel
descriptions of the parameter types, one set for each of the three HP
3000 supported languages listed below.  Each parameter type is defined
specifically for each language, and examples are included in most
explanations.  In addition, several intrinsics (and their parameters) are
demonstrated in the program examples (one for each of the three
languages) in Appendix D of this manual.

  PASCAL/XL           The parameter types are described in HP Pascal/XL
                      terms.

  COBOL II/XL         The parameter types are described in COBOL II/XL
                      terms.

  FORTRAN/XL          The parameter types are described in HP Fortran
                      77/XL terms.
