Start X.400.
Syntax

Parameters
encoder Start the encoder.
decoder Start the decoder.
x4xfer Start the X.400 Transfer process.
x4mailer Start the X.400 mailer.
mta Start the Message Transfer Agent.
rts Start the Reliable Transfer Server.
x4dskcon Start the HP X.400/HP Desk Node processes (MTA, RTS,
encoder, decoder, x4xfer, and remsh9k).
x4smcon Start the X.400 processes for the Sendmail connection
(MTA, RTS, and x4mailer).
Description
The parameters allow you to specify the X.400 components to be started.
If you do not specify any parameters, x4start starts all HP X.400/HP Desk
Node processes if an HP X.400/HP Desk Node is configured, all X.400
processes for the Sendmail connection if the Sendmail connection is
configured, or both sets of processes if both an HP X.400/HP Desk Node
and the Sendmail connection are configured. If you want specific X.400
components started, specify the particular components. You can specify
the parameters in any order or combination.
NOTE If OTS is not running and you try to start the RTS, a warning
message appears. OTS must be started before the RTS can be
started. Use osiadmin
to start OTS.
