x4backup
Store configuration and/or log files to tape.
Syntax
______________________________________________

x4backup {configuration} -d device_file
{logs }
{both }
______________________________________________
Use x4backup after initial configuration and before product updates to
save configuration files, and for archiving log files for record keeping
or for transfer to HP during problem diagnosis.
NOTE All X.400 files are backed up during normal HP-UX disk backup
operations. Use x4backup on systems dedicated to X.400 and/or
systems where disk backups are not performed on a regular basis.
It is not required that x4backup be used to successfully back up
X.400 log files and/or configuration files. However, if the
configuration files are restored without using x4restore, the
following files need to be removed after the restore is complete:
/usr/lib/x400/*.conf.new and /usr/lib/x400/*.conf.trn.
Parameters
configuration Back up configuration files only.
logs Back up log files only.
both Back up both configuration and log files.
-d device_file Use specified HP-UX device file.
Description
The x4backup command copies the indicated set of files to the indicated
device.
NOTE The tape must be loaded and ready to write before executing this
command.
