x4solve
x4solve is HP X.400's online error message program. x4solve retrieves
cause and action text for a specified error or event message. There are
two ways to run x4solve: using a menu-driven interface or running it
from the command line.
To run the online error message program with the menu-driven interface,
type x4solve at the prompt. You have the following choices: exit the
program, display a specific error message, or store all messages in a
file.
To exit the program,
* Enter 1 at the prompt.
To display a specific error message,
* Enter 2 at the prompt. A list of components displays.
* Enter the number corresponding to the component where the error
occurred, or enter 1 to search all components. Then, enter the
error number. The error, cause, and action text displays.
To store all messages in a file (so that you can print the message),
* Enter 3 at the prompt.
To run x4solve from the command line, enter the following:
x4solve <component> <error number>
where <component> is the component where the error occurred (use all if
the location is unknown) and <error number> is the error number of the
error message.
