Netware 3.11 for the HP 3000 Installing and Administering Guide
Use the Default Configuration
If you have no other NetWare servers (native NetWare or other NetWare for
UNIX servers) and are only installing one NetWare for the HP 3000 server
using one NetWare network (on the LAN link), you do not need to change
the configuration. The default assumes the LAN link configured in NMMGR
is DTSLINK.
If you are migrating from NetWare 3.01B to NetWare 3.11, follow the
installation, migration, and set up in Chapter 5.
To activate the default configuration, do the following:
1. Log onto the system:
:hello manager.sys,netware
2. Enter the command:
:run sconsole
3. Select item 1 Quick Configuration. The default configuration
values are shown in Figure 1-1 .
4. Use the <Return> (or <Enter>) key to scroll through the fields,
then type e to exit from SCONSOLE. For more information on using
SCONSOLE, see Chapter 10, SCONSOLE Reference.
The definitions for the Quick Configuration parameters are
described in Chapter 2, Changing the Default Configuration.
5. Proceed to the section, "Where to go Next" in this chapter.

Where to Go Next:
Keep a copy of the File Server Worksheet (see Chapter 2, additional
copies in Appendix A) noting that you used the defaults. You will need
this information for future network updates and troubleshooting the
network. Next, start NetWare as described in Chapter 3, Start and Stop
NetWare.
If you decide you need to change the configuration, review the
instructions in Chapter 2.
