NW Command Options 

Table 8-2  lists the nw option commands for starting and stopping the
product, print services, and obtaining status.

The NW commands are not case sensitive.

| nw start        | Starts NetWare/iX services.  If you have     |
|                 | configured rprinter and PSERVER processes to |
|                 | start automatically using SCONSOLE, host     |
|                 | print services are also started.             |
|                 |                                              |

|                 |                                              |
| nw stop n       | If no number n is specified, stops NetWare   |
|                 | services in 60 seconds.  If zero is entered, |
|                 | stops services immediately.  Specifry n in   |
|                 | seconds to allow time for clients to logout. |
|                 |                                              |

|                 |                                              |
| nw abort        | Aborts the running product.  Can cause       |
|                 | directory and data corruption.               |
|                 |                                              |

| nw status       | Provides information on whether or not       |
|                 | NetWare/iX is running.                       |
|                 |                                              |

| nw start print  | Starts both the PSERVER and rprinter for     |
|                 | host printing processing.                    |
|                 |                                              |

| nw stop print   | Stops both the PSERVER and rprinter.         |
| [now]           | Rprinter completes active jobs before        |
|                 | shutting down.  Optional:  add the cord NOW, |
|                 | stops printing immediately, without          |
|                 | completing active jobs.                      |
|                 |                                              |

| nw start        | Starts host PSERVER processes.  See PSERVER  |
| pserver         | Password in this manual for a description of |
| [password]      | when you need to use a password.             |

| nw start        | Starts the rprinter process.  Use this       |
| rprinter        | command if the PSERVER process has been      |
|                 | started, or if the configured PSERVER itself |
|                 | exists on a different NetWare Server.        |

| nw versions     | Get product versions.                        |
|                 |                                              |
