Netware 3.11 for the HP 3000 Installing and Administering Guide
Verify Connection with the Server
If you have NetWare clients already set up, you can check the connection
to the server. If you do not have any other NetWare clients, you must
set one up as described in Chapter 4, Setting Up a NetWare Client:
1. From a NetWare client, run the NetWare shell. You do not have to
log into the server.
2. Change drives to the network drive and enter the command:
F:> slist
3. Under the heading, Server Name, check that the NetWare for the HP
3000 server is listed. If you are using the default, the server
name is NWIX_DEFAULT.
To check NetWare file services, you can:
1. From a NetWare client, log into the server as guest (no password)
or, as supervisor (no password is required when first installed).
2. Change directories to PUBLIC which contains the NetWare utilities.
