Defining Version Passwords and Users
To define the password (optional) and the user names for a version of an
application, select the Version Definition option on the administrator
main menu. This selection takes you to the version definition screen.
This screen allows you to define the version password and the valid users
for the version. You cannot use this screen to rename a version or
define a new version. The version and its base application must exist on
the system before you can define its password and users.
The procedures for defining passwords and users for a version are similar
to the procedure for defining application users and passwords.
The Version ID field on the version definition screen is a display-only
field that shows the total number of versions defined for the base
application. One application can have up to 254 versions based on it.
