MPE/iX Security

Before any user can sign on to HP ALLBASE/4GL, that user must be able to
log in as a user to the MPE/iX system.

You may be the MPE/iX system manager as well as being the HP ALLBASE/4GL
system administrator. If you are the MPE/iX system manager, you are able
to assign MPE/iX user names to system users. You can also specify that
users must enter a password to log in to MPE/iX.

NOTE A logon UDC that takes a user directly into HP ALLBASE/4GL does not necessarily prevent the user from gaining access to the MPE/iX system. A user can access MPE/iX from HP ALLBASE/4GL by using the Op. System function key. HP ALLBASE/4GL developers can disable this feature if required.
Refer to the MPE/iX documentation for information about defining user security at the MPE/iX system level.
