Chapter 9  HP ALLBASE/SQL Interface 

Introduction 

This section describes the facilities for accessing and using HP
ALLBASE/SQL databases from HP ALLBASE/4GL applications.

The interface between HP ALLBASE/4GL and HP ALLBASE/SQL uses a number of
components in the HP ALLBASE/4GL system.  The components are:

   *   Dictionary base table definitions and select list definitions.

   *   SQL logic blocks.

   *   The FILE, SQL and TRANSACT logic commands.

This section concentrates on SQL logic blocks and the techniques for
using HP ALLBASE/SQL data in HP ALLBASE/4GL.

definitions and select list definitions.

Refer to chapter 12 for information about HP ALLBASE/4GL logic commands.
