Reports Menu 

The reports menu allows you to access the HP ALLBASE/4GL report
definition facilities and the report painter.

Menu Selections 

Header   This selection displays the report header screen, which allows
you to name a report, define the primary file for the report, define the
output formal file designator, specify the report destination, specify
the physical parameters for the printed output, and name the start- and
end-of-report functions.

Sorting   This selection displays the report sorting screen, which allows
you to define the fields on the primary file that are used as sorting
fields and define the sorting order.

Record Selection   This selection displays the selection criteria screen,
allowing you to define the criteria for selecting records from the
primary report file or link files.

Line Header   This selection displays the report line header screen,
which allows you to define the line types, line groups, and lines within
each group.

File Linkages 

This selection displays the file linkages screen, which allows you to
define links to additional KSAM data files or HP TurboIMAGE/iX data sets
that the report generator reads as it prints report line groups.

Painter   This selection runs the report painter.  The report painter is
a program that allows you to "paint" the lines of report as they will
appear on the final printed report.

Catalog Display   This selection displays the catalog display screen,
allowing you to display the names of existing application components.
Refer to chapter 13 for details.

Function Keys 

f1       Dict.  Menu  Cancels the current screen and displays the
        dictionary menu.

f2       Screens Menu  Cancels the current screen and displays the
        screens menu.

f3       Logic Menu  Cancels the current screen and displays the logic
        menu.

f4       Utility Menu  Cancels the current screen and displays the
        utilities menu.
