Introduction to MPE XL for MPE V Programmers Migration Guide

HPCIGETVAR, HPCIPUTVAR, and HPCIDELETEVAR Intrinsics 
(new) 

The HPCIGETVAR, HPCIPUTVAR, and HPCIDELETEVAR intrinsics are new for MPE
XL. They are used to retrieve, set, and delete variables in the job or
session variable table.  Interprocess communication between processes in
the same job or session can be performed using several types of
variables, and you can use these intrinsics to manipulate variables for
interprocess communication.  See Chapter 5, Using the Command
Interpreter, in this manual, and the MPE XL Intrinsics Reference Manual 
(32650-90028) for more information about these intrinsics and their use.
