Learning HP EDIT
Using Your Terminal Keyboard
With HP EDIT, you use much of the keyboard to execute commands and input
text. It is a good idea to get acquainted with your keyboard now.
HP EDIT can be run from several different terminals or personal computers
emulating these terminals.
In several places throughout this tutorial, you are asked to press the
Return key. If you are using a Vectra personal computer, this key is
labeled as Enter. Both of these keys function like the carriage return
on a typewriter, executing a carriage return and line feed sequence. In
this tutorial, if a different label is used on a Vectra personal computer
keyboard, it will be noted in parentheses.
NOTE Some keys such as Next, Next Page, (or Pg Up), and Prev, Prev Page,
(or Pg Down) are not recognized by HP EDIT. A list of terminal keys
to avoid can be found in table 2-2 in the HP EDIT Reference Manual.
