Starting HP EDIT
An HP EDIT session is started by typing a run command at the MPE prompt.
Start an HP EDIT session now.
[REV BEG]
Type RUN HPEDIT.PUB.SYS
Press Return[REV END]
HP EDIT starts and prompts you for a file name:

1 of the HP EDIT Reference Manual for more information.
HP EDIT must know the name of the file you plan to work on. You must
type in the name and press Return. If you press Return without entering
a file name, you will be returned to MPE. In this exercise, you will use
a file named LESSON1.
[REV BEG]
Type LESSON1
Press Return[REV END]
Since the file does not exist, HP EDIT confirms that you want to create a
new file.
Create new file LESSON1 (y/n)?
[REV BEG]
