Other Cursor Positioning Techniques
You have probably already used two other techniques to position the
cursor: the BACKSPACE (or [[backspace]]) key and the Return key. Both
keys may be used in Command and Text Entry modes. The BACKSPACE key
moves the cursor to the left one column. It also erases new text when
inserting characters in Text Entry mode. The Return key moves the cursor
down one line.
The BACKSPACE and Return keys work somewhat differently from <- and v.
Experiment with these keys to determine how they work differently from
the terminal cursor positioning keys.
