RJE/XL Node Manager's Guide
The Tracing Facility
Tracing is an interpretive diagnostic technique that provides data for
analysis and can be performed at many levels. Tracing may be enabled or
disabled using the LINKCONTROL command. Optionally, tracing can be
enabled using the RJLINE command.
The tracing facility for RJE/XL provides tracing at three levels, as
listed below:
* RCS trace
* BSC driver
* PSI firmware
RJE/XL Internal Logging (RJLOG command)
RJE/XL internal logging can be enabled using the RJLOG command
RJLOG {ON }
{OFF }
The RJLOG command turns the RJE/XL upper level logging on or off. The
logging information (a log of procedure calls made during RJE/XL CM
execution) is written to the RJLOG file which must exist in the user's
group and account prior to the use of the RJLOG command. If logging is
turned on and the file named RJLOG does not exist, the output will be
directed to $STDLIST.
