NetView Alerts Error Messages
Listed below are the error messages that can occur when an
operator-generated NetView alert is sent. They are listed in
alphabetical order according to the first word of the message. These
messages are not logged; they are written to $STDLIST.
MESSAGE Can't open CATSNA.PUB.SYS.
CAUSE The SNA message catalog (CATSNA.PUB.SYS) is
missing, or is not in the correct format.
ACTION Write down the circumstances and call your
Hewlett-Packard support contact.

MESSAGE Invalid action code: must be from 01-20.
CAUSE The action code specified in the alert is not
within the range of 01 through 20.
ACTION Reenter an action code that is from 01 through
20.

MESSAGE Node not configured or message file does not
exist.
CAUSE The node specified in the alert is not
configured.
ACTION Specify a configured node.
CAUSE The message file (nodename.PUB.SYS) does not
exist.
ACTION Create the message file (see appendix B for
instructions).
CAUSE The message file (nodename.PUB.SYS) is not in
message file format.
ACTION Recreate the message file, being sure to specify
the ;MSG parameter (see appendix B for
instructions).
