The System Manager's Toolbox is a collection of utilities developed by Allegro Consultants and distributed by Lund Performance Solutions.

The Toolbox consists of utilities for MPE/iX. Some are performance analysis tools (SHOT, PAGES), others are performance aids (FASTLIB, KLONDIKE), operations utilities (CAPTURE, BETIMES, TINDEX), programmer aids (AVATAR, CSEQ, MAGNET) and more. • ACAP
  A program to alter the capabilities and other attributes of NMPRG and PROG files.

• AVATAR
  A decompiler/patcher for Native Mode code (NMPRG, NMOBJ, NMXL). AVATAR has a built-in mini-assembler.

• BETIMES
  A date/time changer.

• BLAZE
  A GUI file and fileset browser.

• CAPTURE
  PSCREEN superset.

• CSEQ
  Displays Calling Sequence of intrinsics (NM and/or CM), including parameter locations (for use in Debug).

• ETC
  Displays information about in-use files, including estimated time until EOF is reached (for serially accessed files).

• FASTLIB (an NMRL & NMOBJ)
  Fast & compatible replacements for ASCII, BINARY, CTRANSLATE,DASCII, and DBINARY.

• GRANT
  A "god" program.

• KLONDIKE
  Fetches files into memory, fast. Can freeze files into memory, and can count the number of pages of a file in memory.

• KNOCKOUT
  A "bouncer" for idle sessions. With rule-based description of how long various kinds of users can be idle before being bounced.

• MAGNET
  An MPE-style "grep"...fast method of searching groups of files for text. Handles QEDIT files.

• MODA
  Utility to create/modify accounts, users, and groups.

• PAGES
  Performance tool to see how physical memory is being used.

• REDWOOD
  System log file analyzer, specializing in reporting on "file close" records.

• REP
  A fast file (and IMAGE database) copier. Has ability to put files onto specific ldevs, and to make them a single extent.

• SHOT
  Performance tool that does *NOT* use the Measurement Interface (MI). As a result, SHOT starts up quickly and has little impact on system performance, unlike the MI-based tools! SHOT's KILL command can be used to kill individual processes.

• SPOOK
  A replacement for the late, lamented HP SPOOK. Compatible, plus extensions.

• TINDEX
  A Tape Index program. TINDEX reports the contents of NM STORE tapes, CM STORE tapes, TAR tapes, SLT tapes, MPE/iX Dump tapes, Classic Dump tapes, and a few more. TINDEX automatically deduces the type of tape.
