Report highlights

This worksheet has several uses. Its primary purpose is to provide a default worksheet that is used to begin a report. Page A is formatted to provide a standardized set of information about the report. This page is also used as a place to store "scratch" calculations that can be used subsequently throughout the report (e.g. date calculations, storelist manipulations, etc.). The worksheet also stores default global formats and commonly used equations (e.g. calculation of the end-of-month date). After the report is complete, update it with relevant information like job, macro, and database names so the information is readily available.

Another, less obvious use, is as a quick means of closing databases and/or clearing pages. If you have a report open and you wish to write a new report, you could
  1. close the unneeded databases and clear the unneeded pages,
  2. get out of QueryCalc and then get back in, or
  3. load the default worksheet.
